for anything. My expectations have been lowered for just about any service and in the rare case when I do get good service I feel I need to go out of my way to compliment them. About our only defense is to either do it your self or stick to the few that do a good job regardless of price. I would not own a Saab if it was not for the fine folks here on Saabnet and a competent local independent mechanic.

In the last year I have had two roofs replaced and after several return visits, they still leak, a refrigerator repaired 3 times for the same thing, lousy jobs from painters and carpenters, sloppy alteration on a tux jacket, bad haircuts, bad experiences from airlines, lazy people at work. High points - carpet installers did a good job, local Audi dealer and service dept are great with A8L as a loaner(helps to know the owner).

Over the years have had a awful time with car dealer service departments - regardless of make, mainly when you cannot communicate with the guy that is actually gonna work on it. Service writers seem to be on another planet and do not listen to you or communicate with the mechanic. If you cant talk to the guy who is doing the work, Deans suggestion may be a good one, leave a note in the car.
