Vibrations . . . I'm running out of patience

I have a '99 9-3 SE with 85,000 miles on it. Recently I had to have the shocks replaced and the Motor Mount. Of course I just had a 90k tune-up too. Then new tires, and after three or four times of re-balancing, things just got worse. Developed a bad vibration opon acceleration that seemed to be coming from the right front tire. Was told I had a bent axel shaft, I got that replaced, actually I got the whole axel replaced. I've spent upwards of $2000 trying to fix this problem. Now I'm told that it could be the transmission, I'm having a specialist look at it tomorrow. Luckily he'll look at it for free, I'm just dreading the estimate. This seems to be a common problem (the vibration anyway) among '99 9-3s from reading this board. Any thoughts? Comforting stories?
I'm really starting to hate my car, but the loaner my mechanic gave me ('88 Plymouth minivan) is making me really miss my Saab and it's only been two days. How can I hate a car so much, but not be able to drive anything else?
