I'll take a shot at this:

a. Does Midas' inspection results warrant replacing all four pads and rotors?
Probably..are these the original brakes on the car?? I found one of my rear
brakes so rusted that it was not stopping the wheel. I did my front brakes
at about 89K. The rotors, while not grooved, seemed rusted on the inside
to the point that I did not know how they spun straight or held together.

b. Is the price reasonable?
Sounds cheaper than a saab dealer for sure. I was quoted $400 for the pads, rotors, pin kit for the rear at the dealer. My wife, preferring
quick dealer work, just had her Mazda done; all new pads, 4 rotors ground
down only for about $500 (with coupon).

c.Degree of difficulty on a DIY?
I opted for the costs savings and thrill? of DIY after reading the procedures here. I also DIY because my back brake that must have not
been working for quit some time passed the 60K service. I was surprised
how easy the actual caliper mechanisms were to work with. I was a bit
unprepared for the difficulty getting a rusted rotor screw out and getting
one front rotor off; it was rusted on. I would definitely do my own
brakes again though..I like the fact that I can take the back brake apart
and clean up and grease the caliper so it doesn't become rust bound again.
I don't think a dealer or even independent will do that for you.

d. ceramics?
The rear pads I used were EBC brand but not "GreenStuff" ..I don't know if they
are ceramic but they produce little dust on the rear.
The fronts I used were Pagrid? They are not ceramic..they produce dust but
not nearly as much as the original saab ones I had in the front.
