I have a 96 900 SEt. I bought crossdrilled zimmerman rotors from the saabsite.com front and back cost les than $300. I bought the best brake pads from autozone but you can order cermaic pads from the saabsite too and itll be less than 100 for all 4. That lone is 400.
Now the easy part - Its rediculously easy to change rotors/pads. Take calipars off using i belive it was a 7 Allen, use a pipe for some leverage if you need. Use plenty of brake cleaner to get rust off. Make sure you are turning the right way. Use a jack stand to rest the caliper on and then take off the rotors. Use a star bit to take off the safety bolt holding the rotor. Use a screwdriver to pop off the metal clips holding the pads into the caliper. The pads are held in by pressure so just take a hammer and lightly tap them out, not so lightly if it wont budge. Now take a C-clamp and press the pistons in so the new pads fit. Install the new pads and dont forget that metal clip, it can be alittle hard to get in. Then put the new rotor in. Repeat for all 4. You can get the full performance deal for less than the companies. Whatever you do dont use an oil based lubricant to spray on to brake parts. (wd40, PB blaster, ect)
