amitabh--
P&J were great. I don't know the son's name, but he looked at it. Then the father came around and verified everything the son said w/ regards to the repairs. I was astonished at how cool and honest they were about it. They agreed that its a car in great cosmetic shape, and that if i could get it for under a certain price, i should go for it, as the sale price plus the repairs come out to $4000...around or under the blue-book. But they also showed me a 6 cylinder that another customer had to replace the engine in becuase of a timing belt mishap...and rebuilding would have been more expensive than a used engine. i could tell from the overall reaction that they didn't agree that i, as a first time saab buyer, should be diving into a 6...that i should wait for a 4turbo to pop up. I keep going back and forth. I am not a car novice, just a saab novice, plus i literally live like 4 blocks from P&Js. Also, having discuvered such an adamant community of saab owners gives me a lot more confidence in terms of getting advice, etc...so the fears i initially felt about having the 6 are not as strong.
