How do I know, I did it myself the other day. Its on the back side of the engine, so it is not terribly easy to get at. But if you jack up the front end and put it on jack stands its not bad. The oil filler tube gets in the way, so you will want to remove that (one bolt adjacent to the oil pressure sending unit, and pull up on the filler tube from the top to unseat it, there is a clamp on the topside that also needs to be removed, two small bolts beneath the plastic intake shroud). Also, a 15/16" socket worked for me ( am guessing 24mm metric) to remove the old sending unit. This was the source of my nuisance oil leak, and it is gone now.
I don't know about the head gasket stuff, but this sending unit is relatively easy to do, and very CHEAP.
Best of luck
