Lower control arm -> not securing to the car?!?!

Awhile back my 97 900s non turbo was run up on a curb and the engine cradle was bent. A body shop replaced the engine cradle and put everything back together. It appears presently, 2 years later, that the bolt which is on the opposite side of the ball joint (the one shaped like an "L" with a grease fitting) has gave loose so I bought the hardware from a saab dealer which included a long bolt to secure the control arm to what appears to be a frame of the car. When I went to put the bolt in it wouldn't catch. When I put a screw driver up in that hole and poke a bit at it, it seems as if a nut is loose and freely moving. When I turn and turn the bolt it does catch but like I said, it doesn't seem to fasten correctly. MY actual question now is... is that a nut that holds this big bolt? Has anyone seen what that looks like?? How would I access that in order to tighten it? Any suggestions would be greatly greatly appreciated, thank you.
Check the image out, not sure how helpful it might be.
