A sport exhaust will help with the growl but it will never be very loud, that just can't be done on a turbo car. It does make a difference though and maybe it will be enough to keep you happy. I live about as far away from Huston as one can get and still be in the continental U.S.A so I can't arrange a way for you to hear the sport exhaust on my 2000 9-5 Aero. A three inch downpipes with sport catalyst will help too I hear.

For the passenger door unlocking, at least you don't need to reach all the way across the car, it can be done from the drivers door.

For the key you need something stronger than a paperclip. I played with mine too but never did get it apart. That's why I recommended having it done when you are in for service. A Saab mechanic has probably done it before and knows all the tricks.

If you like spirited driving, go back to GenuineSaab and check out their BSR and Nordic upgrades, they add a whole bunch of power for a fairly reasonable price. The BSR upgrades are on sale right now. I did a BSR stage 1 to my 9-3 recently and it makes a big difference, even with an automatic. The car is close to frightening now when I tromp on it.

By the way, I have bought a lot of stuff from GenuineSaab but I have no connection with them whatsoever.

Brooks,
