BSR Upgrade Long Again

It is just that easy, both the son-in-law and I did ours a few months ago. You plug the BSR PPC (Portable Program Carrier) into the OBD II port under the steering wheel and it does its thing, reflashing your ECU (Engine Control Unit) chip.
The only complication we had was on the son-in-law's 2001 9-3 5 door where his original software had been upgraded and wasn't the version on the PPC. So we followed the instructions provided with the PPC and sent a copy of his software to Sweden via the internet. Contrary to the notice that it could take up to a week to provide an updated version, they it started downloading in seconds. Total time on the computer, less than 15 minutes. We then went out and tried it again and it loaded just fine.
The nice thing about the BSR version is that the PPC has a copy of your original software and can reload it any time you want.
Results: The son-in-laws 9-3 base engine with automatic transmission got a notable improvement in power and throttle response but not as extreme as what I got in my SE. My convertible is thrilling now and with suspension improvements (same as what you have purchased), 17 inch wheels and max. performance summer tires a really hot machine.
