Low oil pressure could be due to pickup tube screen plugging, leaking pickup tube O-ring, stuck partway open/worn oil pressure relief valve, worn oil pump, or main and rod crankshaft bearings with too much clearance. Per Haynes manual for NG900, low oil light pressure light illuminates between 0.3 and 0.5 bar (4.4 and 7.3 psi). Manual says minimum oil pressure at 80C (176F) engine temp at 2000 rpm for 10W/30 mineral oil should be 2.7 bar (39 psi). Manual also states that pressure relief valve should open at 3.8 bar (55 psi). All bad NG900 engines I've seen have failed due to oil starvation even with oil showing full on dipstick.
