I was thinking, but anyways thanks for all the input.
Just didn't get to try what I was thinking past weekend.
Ok, I have three wheel sets in my garage. 225-45-17, 205-55-16, and 225-50-16. All have very close rotating distances but different widths and sidewalls, which was why I was thinking about trying different front rear combo.
Currently I have only a little bit of handling mod experience which include going from 215 to 225 on 17 wheels (slightly less sharp handling little more cushion), steering rack brack/clamp (much improved steering stability), rear antirollbar (pretty impressive roll reduction), urethane bushings on the front (tighter front), bilsteins (firm and consistent dampening). But after a while all the initial sensation kinda disappear cuz my sense becomes dull. It's simply fun to try different things, however minor, especially on handling department.
I'm trying to see how different tire sidewall, wheel size, air pressure would affect the handling. More specifically i think some of these minor mods can improve FWD handling. That's how I started these thoughts.
On looks I can't care much less but I was thinking wouldn't larger front wheels and tires help FWD cars but companies simply don't do that because of people's perception of RWD's better performance.. But then there's steering problem for the front tires as well so I guess it's not that simple. Now the Reax thing on 9-3ss makes a lot of sense. Anyways, if anybody has thoughts on this directions I'd appreciate.
cheears,
borami
