The control arm is probably just the steering tyre rod joint. (Cheaper part). The ball joint is a part that requires the whole "A" arm to be replaced as a unit, since the ball joint is machined in at the factory. I hate this type! If this was a C900 Saab, you could just replace each of the four ball joints. Sorry you couldn't do this job yourself. Look on the WWW.GM Part Direct.Com. You'll see all the parts for a complete front end rebuild. Just remember, Shops have to pay all there bills too!
