Depending on where you live, 4779724 lower spring spacer might be rusted away as it was on my wife's '99 9-3.
The washers on later models I think were ommitted (23) ditto for (20).The only reason I think this is that I did the suspension on my '95 900, and my wife's '99 9-3. The suspension assemblies were different. If you check out the link and the pic for the suspension, you'll see that those washers aren't listed.
If you are replacing the struts, there are some good video tips on the 'net. Two tips are particularly noteworthy; make sure the spring is compressed enough that it is 'overcompressed' so that when the nut on the top of the stut is fastened/tightened, it is not compressing the spring down; and when tightening the top nut, don't score the polished surface of the strut with vice grips to prevent twisting(use a cloth to protect the polished surface!) otherwise the scored surface will lead to premature failure of the seal at the top of the strut.
