Drain Tube and 'Extra' Electrical Connection Question

After a not so difficult 45 minutes earlier today I once again have a functioning power antenna. Removing the existing unit, disassembly, removing the old plastic cable and installing the new Uro antenna was much easier than I anticipated.
Two things I noticed, however. First, I found a loose drain tube near the antenna motor which looks like it should be attached to the bottom of the motor housing, but the black plastic part looks to have snapped off. Am I correct in where it belongs? If so, what is the potential impact of this remaining connected to nothing?
Second, I found a loose electrical connector - about 1.5 inches wide and 20-24 pins (female, so I guess 'pins' is not quite correct). Should I be concerned about this?
