A Viggen and an SE are completely different. I have one of each.
The Viggen is definitely more raw power and when you give it some gas, it will push you back into your seat. The SE has a nice kick to it also, but it is quite a difference between the SE and Viggen. The SE setup is more for comfort and luxury. It may only be a 25hp difference between the two, but it really makes a big difference. I also like the Viggen seats and interior better out of the two.
As others have said, the insurance on the Viggen is going to be more. When I called to get a quote before I purchased it, they told me that on their scale for insurance risk which goes from 1-27, the Viggen was a 20. My SE is a 19, but that is because it is a convertible. The insurance is lower on that one too because it is a seasonal car. I am using the Viggen as my DD.
I don't think you will be able to get a Viggen for under $5k unless it has some issues. I got mine for a steal at $6200 and it was near showroom condition and lived in a garage, but it had 117k. I personally would wait for a Viggen and pay the extra. In my opinion, it is definitely worth it! Once you drive both trims, I am sure you will agree and see why people are asking much more than book value.
