Do you have the full seats or just the skins? If you have the full seats I'd pop out your current ones and transfer the mechanism that moves the seats.
It is a real pain to transfer the skins.
If you have just the skins, the only difference might be a different size seat bottom. The NGs have two sizes, so I assume the '99 does too. But you should be able to see the difference, the length is noticeable.
Again, if just the skins...I would try pulling up the seat skin to the top and then see how the headrest is mounted. I would assume they are similar but at least you'd me able to see under the cover.
It is a good time to check your seat heater elements too. You can do a search in the forum how to do it.
Of course, if you do have the whole seat you could convert to power seats. Just need to run juice to the seats, the seat heat wire, and have a ground. You can run a long wire out of the car to test your connects before a complete install.
