I use both in our c900s... afaik, only difference between G05 and MB is the bottle it comes in + you might get G05 on sale (though I never have, and they both seem to cost the same here)...
my impression was that dexcool was not a problem in Saabs that came with it. it was other engines of other brands that had problems associated with it. sticking with it should be fine.
if you use "the green $#!t" change it regularly!
good to change any coolant (even long life) fairly frequently...
don't mix coolants. If you switch types, flush the system thoroughly with water before making the switch.
Anyway, I suspect the g05 popularity here might be a carry over from success owners had + from Townsend's advice for the c900s more than anything else... the c900s (2.1L especially) *really* need it (to avoid headgasket failures)... seems like the newer Saabs have had decent coolants from the get-go...
I'd probably stick with the dex cool if that's what you've got now...
