Drove daughter's '99 9-3 SE yesterday while she's away. Changing the settings on the ACC doesn't always change the airflow from defroster to dash to floor. And sometimes it does. Sometimes it just directs air to one place, usually the floor, regardless of what I press on the ACC. Fan speed adjusts fine. Doesn't matter if it's set on AUTO or ECON.
Recalibrated ACC twice but it showed no faults.
Are there blend door issues on these cars? Maybe de-power whole system and then recalibrate?
Reminds me once again that the Saab ACC is great when it works, but I really prefer a manual system.
Any ideas from the brain trust here?
