Should be pretty easy to do with basic tools. Need a 1/2" drive breaker bar to loosen the belt, various 13mm sockets to get the bolts out of the pump, forget the hose size but you can check that on top together.
You cannot delete the power steering pump. Would make the waterpump turn backwards. I made an idler for our drag car. The pumps are not happy in the 7k to 9k rpm range. ;) Pumps were beginning to be a major expense.
