Power steering squeal

2003 9-3 SE with about 152.000 km running in cold hilly Norway. All services to date except the 150.000 km which will take place in the beginning of January - late, I know.
My problem only appears when the engine is started from cold, either overnight or after five or six hours standing. In late summer a squeal appeared from the serpentine belt, which was diagnosed as bad roller bearings by my local saab dealership and shop. The noise is dependent on the revs of the engine. They repaired this, but two weeks later the noise came back. New trip to the shop, this time they think it might be the servo pump, based on finding traces of oil on the belt disc that suggest a bearing that is about to fail.
I am now at loss as to what this may be, needless to say I am critical of the shop and am looking for second opinions. The noise does not disappear completely after warmup but remains at low volume. The pitch is relatively low at idle, and really sounds like a belt slipping or the likes. A new pump will set me back about $900 plus the labour here in Norway, so I don't fancy jumping at that "deal".
I found an alternative theory online that suggests something is blocking the oil path from the sump, causing the oil pump or something related to whine until normal temperature. As my engine has not had the crankcase ventilation fix yet, I consider this a possibility.
Could the more experienced 9-3 owners on this board please help me get to the bottom of this issue? Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
tuxicated - on my third Saab and still happy
