My wife and I took the plunge this week and bought a silver Viggen that's been sitting on the dealer's lot for a few months. We had been looking for the right deal on a 9-3 base or SE for her, but found it too hard to resist the good prices on the Viggens right now. I'll probably have regrets when the prices go even lower, but I guess I'm a lousy gambler. Anyway, I've got a few questions from the past few days - this car is a bit of an adjustment from my 11 year old 900t and my wife's 10 year old Volvo!

Steering - in addition to the infamous "torque steer", I've found that the car tracks lousily on uneven pavement. Especially when braking and accellerating, the car will pull hard to one side or the other if the road has ruts or slopes more than normal. The car actually wants to pull up and out of the rut, into whichever lane I'm closest. I saw a post about an SE owner having this problem, but haven't heard of anyone complaining about this with the Viggens. Is this common? Tire pressure is even (40 front/38 rear).
ACC - according to the manual, the AC compressor is *always* on if the outside temperature is above 32. Does everyone just use the Econ switch to keep the compressor off if it isn't needed, or are people using the higher temp setting (55)? I'd like to use the higher setting, just for convenience, but there doesn't seem to be a way to turn the compressor on below 55 if I need to. Is there a way to turn the compressor on below either setting, 32 or 55?
Tech II - are there adjustable settings which aren't listed in the back of the manual? If so, does anyone keep a list? I just like to know my options.
Car phone - has anyone installed a Qualcom dual band phone?
Engine - mine was put in sideways, is this a DIY to correct, or should I go to the dealer? :-)
What are everyone's favorite accessories? The dealer has ordered a couple of the new style keys and some cargo nets as part of the deal, but I'd like to know if there are some standard goodies that everybody finds useful. I'm considering ordering the British spec driver's mirror, if it isn't too expensive.
And some comments & complaints --
Quite honestly, I think my old 900t is more fun to drive. The Viggen outperforms my old car in every respect, of course, but it seems to lack something for all it's refinement. It's just too quiet - I can't hear the engine nearly as well, and I don't get the feeling of speed that my old car has. Maybe I'm just being a little nostalgic...
Other things I miss: flat cargo floor, center cold-air vent, instrument layout (I think the new radio/SID console hides behind the steering wheel), big glovebox, engine compartment layout.
Things I now can't live without: Viggen seats, ABS, Viggen seats, four doors (I know, I know), Viggen seats, good stereo, Viggen seats, and Viggen seats.
