Thanks John. I found it today literally in 15 sec. My problems are two fold.
1) When opening the roof- it stops about 1/2 way and again about 3/4 of the way down. By releasing and again pressing the console switch (twice) the roof will close. Would this be related to the intermediate switch? The switch looks good physically/ mechanically. Before removing it, I am now trying to determine what part engages the arm on the microswitch and whether or not full contact is being made to close the microswitch. And I will obviously test the switch and see if it is good electrically.
The second problem is fixed:
I fixed the problem with the L tonneau cover microswitch and latch. The 5th bow would not raise or lower a the start of the opening/ closing sequence. I bent the arm of the switch to make better contact. But it still wasn't working. I had to tighten the cable that closes/tightens the latch because it wasn't making good contact with the microswitch.
Now it works- I can open the trunk remotely, no more SID warning, and the 5th bow moves as it should. All in all an easy fix.
thanks
