Happens very often on Volvo's and many newer cars from around late 90s and up due to soft piston rings but not so often to older Saab's like that.
But I guess you have been cranking over quite a bit and it sounds like the fuel pump and injectors might be working if it introduced fuel to wash down the oil film around piston rings.
Just find and fix the real problem why it doesn't start and then squirt some oil into each cylinder and turn it over a few times and then some more squirts and then put the plugs back in and see if it builds up compression again so that it starts.
But you need to know that you have fixed the no start problem first. Otherwise you will just wash away that oil again.
