Really leaning towards a broken gearbox. Thoughts? Posted by Nicholas [Email] (#2995) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Nicholas) on Wed, 16 Jan 2013 17:42:02 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Quick recap 2000 9-3:
Note: Throughout all this, clutch pedal pressure was same, and seemed to be engaging near bottom of pedal range. Reservoir fluid near top, but top of trans is coated with oil coming from somewhere. Have had to roll car backwards slightly to get in reverse for a long time now.
1) Intermittent difficult/impossible shifting.
2) Drained transmission. Replaced with synchromesh
3) Shifting seemed immediately better, and was able to drive a few miles shifting into all gears.
4) Shifting went back downhill and much worse.
5) Got car into reverse with engine off, and now seems to literally be STUCK just shy of reverse to the point where I can't start the car, nor shift out of reverse.
Things seem "seized"...
