Hello all,
I have really enjoyed reading through many of these posts but I have not seen my exact issue.
I have got roughly 126 k on my car. Runs fine and doesn't stutter or stumble or anything. My one issue is on very cold mornings I cannot get my car to start. No CEL at all. Car will turn over fine but it does not catch. The battery was manufactured in 2011 and I make sure the terminals are clean and corrosion free.
The only way to get it to start is to jump start it at that point. Usually wait for about a minute and it starts right up.
I have done a visual check of the fuel pump fuse and it looks fine.
Replaced all vacuum lines with nice silicon ones.
New purge valve as the old one was leaking.
I will be replacing the fuel filter this weekend as it was suggested. Also will be doing the spark plugs.
Just recently replaced the radiator as I had a major blow out from the fins last week.
*I do have a 'weeping' head gasket which does leak down. When I start the vehicle it will produce a small plume of white smoke. I know I need to have this repaired but I just paid taxes and my other car is in for a head gasket repair, and I just replaced the radiator.
I would love to answer any questions that you have and also your suggestions.
My theory is that coolant leaking down could be flooding the engine causing it to be difficult to start. Also could be fuel filter, DIC, spark plugs..... Etc. etc.
Thanks!
