It's not a terrible job. If the car is still operational, get the fuel tank as close to empty as possible. The day before, soak the fuel tank strap bolts with PB Blaster or similar. I've always re-used these, and that's on 12 year old Midwest driven cars.
There is some emissions lines that connect at the top of the tank. They're impossible to disconnect without a special tool when installed. But, there is enough slack to drop the tank, and carefully remove with two small screwdrivers pushing in the outer release tabs.
Of course, buy a new fuel filter and seals. As for the e-brake cable, have you adjusted it yet? Might not need to be replaced. You can easily adjust it from under the car. Again, spray the day before with PB Blaster.
