Hello, I have seen a few of convertibles do this due to rust and corrosion in the latch in the door. The portion moved by the key rusts solid and won't move. I have had luck removing the latch, taking the actuator off and soaking the latch in penetrating oil or auto trans fluid till it frees up. Then I clean it up with a scrotch brite pad and lube it with the white swaybar lube from Saab. Good Luck, Bernie at George Riggin Specialty Automotive
