2000 Viggen 175K
The problem initially presented itself as a stall while sitting at a red light without any noise, shudder, or struggle. I tried to restart and after 2 attempts, it started but with a corresponding drop in RPMs which required gas in order to keep it from stalling again. Had it towed back home and swapped out spark plugs, DI, and CPS. Car started without any hesitation or surges in RPM, but stalls without codes after 20-60seconds. I initially inspected all vacuum lines and found nothing obvious. I took off the MAF and cleaned it. The throttle body didn't look like it had nearly enough deposits to even warrant taking it apart and cleaning. I suspected a fuel issue and tested the Schrader valve after a stall and fuel was present, but wouldn't spray forcefully outward. I threw in a new fuel filter and FPR. AFTER putting in a new filter and FPR, I noticed the 4mm vacuum line that runs from the throttle body to the vacuum valve had a slight split right where it joins the nipple. I yanked it out and replaced it along with a few other lines. After this I went to test start it, however I'm not able to get fuel to the rail. I've tried turning the car on-off, hearing the fuel pump run behind me each time over a dozen times and still nothing at the rail. Only a very slight amount of air escapes the Schrader valve each time. Before I placed the new fuel filter on, I intentionally left the line disconnected from the filter and turned the key on, and fuel did come out. Not sure why I'm not getting any rail pressure...suspect combination of mechanical and human error at this point...Any thought are appreciated.
