Which is why I feel the rumors are not plausible.
But apparently original Viggen buyers who went to Road Atlanta for the two day performance driving class were told by the Instructors that a new Viggen, with the speed limiter portion of the software disabled, could reach 175 on the track.
If my memory is correct and HP needs to increase by the cube of a velocity increase, then going 12.9% faster (175 vs 155) would require 44% more HP. I don't believe Saab understated their engine HP by such a large amount.
