1994 900S Deadlock problem

Unlocked driver's door, pulled it open, alarm went off. Closed door, did the key routine that disarms, but to no effect. Pulled alarm fuse, so no alarm now. That's OK. However, remaining three doors (also the fuel door)are in deadlock. Trunk release works ok, as well as unlocking trunk with key. Pulling trunk release fuse does not remove fuel door deadlock. I suspect the problem is in the electromechanicals of the driver's door lock by how the key feels while being turned. Anyone have any ideas? (I couldn't care less about having an alarm, or central locking if related). I saw somewhere that if I were to disconnect the under-driver's-seat alarm module while in armed mode then a new one would be required to un-deadlock things (sounds sketchy, but don't want to chance it!).
I could disable whatever keeps the three pull-up unlockers from getting pulled up and unlocking. However, I've never been inside the doors of this year and model. Thanks for any thoughts or suggestions.
