Yeah, its not impossible. But its just so thin and brittle. The pin part is in there so tight that when you put upward pressure on it with a pry tool to remove it, a lot of that pressure is transferred to the collar of the cone part. So you're effectively pulling on the cone in the hole which has no wiggle room. Eventually the weakest side of the cone will break. And the white head of the pin covers it in such a way that you can't really get any lubricant in there to help. Maybe next time I install new ones i'll put a little dab of grease on the pin...ensuring that I'll never need to pull that one again to test the idea.
