WHY does it run? Posted by Bloodnose [Email] (#1819) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Bloodnose) on Sun, 12 Aug 2018 11:54:20 In Reply to: ACC Cabin Temperature Sensor, Dave, Tue, 7 Aug 2018 08:26:41 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Dave,
It just went out to charge my AC and timed the ACC sensor fan after car shutdown. 4 minutes like clockwork.
The software logic is most likely controlled by the ACC unit since it provides power to the sensor/fan assembly. Changing this assembly with another working one should have no effect.
I've always wondered why this sensor assembly runs after shutdown, but haven't been able to theorize why it is so designed. I haven't been able to find an answer searching these forums or other sites.
