I don't find the post calous. Yes I understand at times many of us can be accused of being calous. It is my opinion that this is what sometimes happens when we have conversations over a BB. We don't know much about each other and sometimes our words may give the wrong impression, or be taken out of the context of what was intended. I am trying to obtain as much information as possible. Its just that I have, in the past, recieved conflicting information. It seems that MTL may be the oil I am looking for or an equivelant from Amsoil. I just want to make sure I use the correct product for my application. Mine Saab is a 95 your vehicles are 98 and 99. I have never put engine oil in a transmission before and was quite surprised to find that Saab has for some time. Then I find out some manuracturers recommend ATF in a manual tranny, very surprising. I want to get 200K miles out of the car and tranny. I will be making performance modifications as I go along. As always TG I appreciate the info, I may be beating a dead horse here I don't know. I am glad your dealer has been very good to you. Mine on the other hand, well, I would not believe anything they say. I believe what I read here on this post more than the dealer. I rarely take one opinion and run with it. I will take many opinions and experience and combine them with my experience and come up with my own opinion. Kind of makes it sound like I am using you, but I guess we are all using each other on this BB to try and gain additional insight from other users direct experience. It definitely seems that synthetic 'engine' oil is out. What weight MTL do you use? Thanks. You have been on this BB at least as long as I have and I have learned to value your opinion. Dean has also developed quite a following in a short time, he is also extremely knowledgeable. No, MJM I have not forgot about you and there are many others. None of this would be possible without this great site. Thanks Scott. There I go rambling again.......
