Oil in intake manifold

A happy coming midsummer to you all!
The other day I was out working with the car and discovered oil in the intake manifold. Looking through the throttle body I saw what looked like a pool of oil down in the intake but there is also a strong smell of gas as well (the smell of gas is maybe usual, I don’t know).
However I begun to look around and found that the big PCV hose from the valve cover to the throttle body was oily inside and as well some oil around the hose at the valve cover. I could not find any PCV-valve but om not sure that the B234i non-turbo of the ng900 has any.
My best guess is that the valve cover gaskets are bust or am I missing something? I also wonder if I need to empty the coolant and oil from the engine before I remove the valve cover?
Grateful for any help!
/Fredrik
