I've seen this described as "wedge the pedal on the floor" and "push the pedal half-way down, wedge in that position".
What worked for you?
2002 Viggen, new clutch/slave/master/hoses. The "professionals" who did the work recognized the pedal didn't feel right, grinding into reverse, so they bleed it several times. Finally thought it felt OK, but they didn't sound completely convinced.
I picked it up, clutched a several dozen times on the way home. It deteriorated, grinding into reverse when I parked.
