well, just as the pandemic began, my 1996 NG900SE 5spd decided it wasn't going to engage into 3rd gear. everything else was fine. so I got really good double-clutching 2nd into 4th. then, a month or so ago, when engine was cold, it decided it would go into 3rd but not 4th. once warmed up, it wen't back to no 3rd, and 4th worked great. this went on for a while, then Friday, no 3rd NOR 4th.... and then as I was searching for some sort of gear to propel me out of the road, the stick was stuck! With the clutch in I coasted it into a parking lot but it was NOT going into any gear. and because it would not go into R, the key was stuck in it. I tried all sorts of wiggling and fussing, and nothing in the linkage looks terrible, but the stick feels like how it feels when it is locked in R and the key is out. I got the car towed over to my mechanic, and because Saabs are not his main thing (BMW/Porsche/Audi are) I'd like to provide as much helpful info I can to him about this unique Swedish car. Any and all suggestions welcome! this is a beautifully maintained Sky Blue NG900 3dr 5spd that I really want to keep on the road. thanks!
