Thanks, Bernie. That could be it. While trying to remove the switch, I just loosened the large T-30 screw about 5 turns but I also removed the lock cylinder - I thought it would help. After installing the new switch, and the mid-section piece, in WIS it's called a clutch, I had to line up the clutch with the cylinder to get them to mate. I'll try your suggestion later today.
