I'm updating my PCV system on the 9-3 2.0 turbo. But I'm just confused why the new hose from the new T-connector to the oil trap has to go in front of the intake manifold where it's already a mess of vacuumlines, cables, coolant pipes, etc... And not just behind the engine where it is loads of space and free room? Or does the crank house hose need heat (or something) from the engine to not get "sludged up"?
Just wondering if there is any thought behind this from the engineers or if it's just lack of thought? Feels like I'm making a mess for future repair work around the intake manifold.
