I have a 2001 9-3 Viggen 5 speed MT. Sometimes it refuses to go into reverse. I have been told many things and i have tried some of it - replaced transmission and motor mounts, checked if the screw driver falls through the hole next to the top fluid refill hole (it does), topped up the transmission fluid to the right level. Now its time to take the shifter apart. I am getting the P/N 14 (bushing x2) and P/N 13 (reverse lock) from https://www.esaabparts.com/viewparts.php?searchpart=1§ion=44173438.
Please share instructions to tear into the shifter, replace the P/Ns and put it all back together.
Also, any other suggestions on what could be the problem that viggen is hesitating to go into reverse sometimes? all the other gears in and out works just perfect.
Thank you and being a newbie in this community - sorry if i broke any rules.
