When I talked to Valco over the phone, they told me it was a din to 2 channel RCA converter. So it will convert the 8pin plug to front left & right and back left & right (4 rca outputs total). Mine is in the mail and should arrive this weekend. Apparently it is an Alpine part, so I'm confident in the quality. But I'll keep this string updated on my success/failure whatever the outcome.
