Has anyone here painted their chrome bumper strips? What did you use? How has it held up?

I painted mine today with flat black rust paint. I'll find out how durable it is in the coming weeks/months. The color match is perfect. I don't think it could get any better, so I'm really happy with that right now. I felt that painting the strip would be cheaper and easier than removing it and replacing it with a black rubber strip. The $5 paint I already had kicking around, and I spent 50 cents on electrical tape to mask off the area. I really find that electrical tape is a good painting tape as it leaves no residue, and is easy to work with. So for the moment I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the paint will hold up well, and stay stuck to the chrome strip. If it starts to peel or chip badly I'll have to go the other route and remove it.

I'll try to post pictures in the next day or so.
