It seems like an "oh-duh" to me, especially with all of the gadgets we seem to have to have for our cars as it is.
If I had the where-with-all, I'd be building the product myself with marketing confidence.
I've been waiting for the I-phone to get through its 1st generation glitches before getting one, so I don't know all the minute particulars. I imagine it wouldn't even be that big of a deal to make a car stareo with a docking station for the I-Phone instead of a conventional faceplate. This would eliminate the need to stash a faceplate as you'd probably pop it out and take it with you anyway. And it would have the added advantage of always keeping your I-phone charged and ready to go. Also with the I-phone headset, having the phone docked in the dash of the car could be very handy as you wouldn't have to fumble around looking for it in another unconventional docking place. It would operate just like an in dash touch screen computer.
