... is an old P120 and was the fastest model Dell made without an active cooling fan, I understand. It gets HOT. They included these flip out feet in the back which raise the unit off a hard surface by maybe 1/4". It does help. They specifically say in the manual to NOT operate it with the lid closed or on a hard surface. One time the thing kicked out of standby mode and turned on while closed, in my bookbag, and I had the bookbag under my seat in a class, and brushed it with my legs and could feel the heat baking out of it, which alerted me in time to save it from a meltdown... it will be replaced shortly anyhow.
