but I can see how it would divide opinion. Personally the CTS is fabulous looking, as long as its silver or - at a crunch - black. There are some awkward angles but as a total package its cool. It is very competetively priced but in terms of build quality it is not BMW,Saab,Audi or Volvo. I judge intitial car quality by the 'thud' of the door when you close the car. Look at it this way, here in Canada a 215bhp CTS starts at CAD39900 which is about CAD10000 less than a similary equipped 325i, A4 , C-Class. The 9-5 starts at CAD42000 and if I had that kind of money to spend on a car I would find it tough to choose between a 9-5 or CTS, I guess it would depend on the test drive.
BTW I am a late 30-something and do not consider myself an old fart!
