If the car's under warranty and its an obvious problem like a broken timing belt (IIRC, warranty work must be performed at a dealer) then why would the indy shop take your engine apart to inspect further? Did you authorize the indy shop to complete the repair or just diagnose the problem?
Are you trying to get Saab to repair the car or reimburse you for completed repairs?
