Hi all. I have a yamaha tw 200 dual sport dirtbike/roadbike. When i bought the bike i didnt get a title, since it is mainly an offroad bike that has probably never been registered a title would not be needed. I am in massachusetts and want to register the bike for on road use so i can buzz down to some trails without having to truck it. i went to the registry thinking a bill of sale would be sufficient to apply for a title. They told me i needed "proof of ownership." I registered the bike for offroad use where just a bill of sale is sufficient. Now, the registration for offroad use is proof of ownership so i went back to apply for a title. The people at the registry, including the assistant manager were stumped. They have to call into Boston to find out if "that is enough." Any ideas? The bike was bought in connecticut and i am not sure about title laws there. i just would like to get this registered for on road use. TIA
