Oh, that changes/limits any advice I can offer, I didn't realize that your 9-3 had no tape deck, I suppose I should have asked that at the beginning of my post, not the end :-) Does any 9-3 have a tape deck out of curiosity? (I've only owned C900 and NG900 Saabs and can't recall right now the brief times I've been in a 9-3)
And I don't know if there's an aux-in on the 9-3...if it does, it sounds like running a wire would be better than the only other option I know of--a radio transmitter.
And yes, back to the choice of which mp3 player--where I can actually offer useful advice/my opinion--I currently have an iPod and have used a Nomad in the past and I agree with all your points that the iPod is the better choice given its size and functionality...especially given the fact that you already use iTunes.
