It's an adapter that plugs into the back of your radio, and allows you to plug in an aux jack. The problem is that you have to take apart your dash or pay someone to do it, and then you have the cord sticking out of somewhere, usually the center console down by your feet. I'm too lazy for this and use the cassette adapter with my Nomad, but I also move it between cars a lot for road trips.
