...Once we found what we wanted (2nd row bench instead of captains chairs), I told the guy where I wanted to be on price. Sticker was $41,xxx, got it for $37,xxx with 0% financing for 60 months (which was LESS than where I wanted to be pricewise; I guess no one likes the 2nd row bench & it WAS hard to find). No hassle or any "add-ons" in the paperwork. Price negotiation took a few minutes, went home & got the wife & kids, returned to finish the purchase which took about 30 minutes, most of which was consumed by the "walk around" and explanation of the features once we closed the deal.
Bottom line -- if you go in with your eyes opened and with a plan, you should do o.k. If you look and act like an easy mark to the dealers, they will treat you as such. Ask a lot of smart & relevant questions if you don't know the answers, however you should not have too many questions once it comes time to close the deal if you've done your homework!
