I have never seen it myself that those V6 lived through a broken T-belt but another Saab mechanic (patprice) said he had been able to put a new belt on a 9-5 V6 and it worked.
That is not the norm though with these interference engines.
One cylinder head though might be saved from destruction all depending on how fast you were going when it happened.
If the belt breaks when the engine is just idling, the valve damage might not be too bad and only on one cylinder bank.
